The Vatican Museum’s history starts as a collection of sculptures exhibited to the public by Pope Julius II (1503-1513).  Over the centuries successive Popes have added works of art, new wings and halls, and valuable artifacts to this immense conclave, so it now boasts on of the most comprehensive collections in the world including pieces right up to the modern day.  The entrance to this fantastic cornucopia of works lies one hundred yards from our doorstep, there is no more convenient Hotel to access this fascinating treasure.

The Alimandi Hotel Roma is an excellent choice for luxury accommodation Vatican because of it's prime position. The Ancient City Centre around the Colosseum; the medieval heart across the river; the stunning and picturesque neighborhoods of Trastevere south of the Vatican; all these fantastic zones can be reached easily and cheaply by public transport, or even on foot if one has the energy, so you are never too far from what you have come here to see!  You may even find that the gentle stroll through medieval neighborhoods or picturesque piazzas is often as enjoyable as the final destination!
